GOLD AND PINK: COLOR CONFUSION

I used to wear colorful dresses and jackets whilst in my dreams. In real life I would purchase a colorful outfit and think that I would actually wear the colorful piece I had just purchased. However, in reality, the colorful, purchased attire remained in my closet untouched for eternity.  

I can say with confidence, I have overcome this habit of mine. I am not afraid of colors because I love all things colorful. For some reason, I had to train myself to add more colors to my outfits. Over time, I developed a personal technique that I call "color confusion". It is basically tricking myself into wearing more color. For example, I would wear a neutral colored blazer paired with a colorful shell underneath. Depending on the occasion, I might even introduce a colorful handbag and colorful nails. Inviting color to my style this way is much more kind and inviting to me than going head-on for a red dress.

In this post, I combined a white colored cardigan with a fuchsia colored shell. I added a pink bag that I was gifted a while back with a matching nail color. I am wearing a pair of skinny jeans with matching shoes in order to let the pink part of the outfit shine through. The gold colored bracelet is from H&M, and is a nice addition to the outfit.
