GLITZY CHIC AND BUBBLY H&M NECKLACE

       Whenever mid-July comes around, I feel really light and summery. At the same time I sense fall is just around the corner. I love the color beige because it is perfect for all seasons. The color beige is dominating both my home decor and closet . Today's outfit is an idea/inspiration that works both for summer and early fall. Given that there are so many great summer sales right now, hunting for  neutral and basic pieces (and of course fashion jewelry) becomes my mission.

       Hands down, my top weakness is fashion jewelry!  I love shoes and clothes, but a glitzy piece of jewelry I cannot resist. It took me quite some time to learn how to incorporate all of my glitzy fashion-jewelry into my wardrobe. It's like I have this split personality when it comes to fashion: Fashion-jewelry....I tend to buy it glitzy; Outfits...neutral and basic. How weird is that?!!

So for quite some time I purchased...and...purchased fashion-jewelry, and my collection grew larger...and...larger over the years. But my pieces remained in my closet and sadly never got to see the light of day. During such periods, I would admire my relatively inexpensive jewelry collection as if  it was worth a million bucks! As time went on, I made a stance against my split fashion taste. I decided that I was going to start wearing my fashion-jewelry, and try really hard to match them with my classy taste for clothes.

       Recently I  was walking through H&M, and came across this red bubbly necklace. I like the bold and beautiful appearance of it. However, since I do not want to look like a bird-of-paradise, I paired the red,gold necklace with a classic beige top. This way I fulfill my need for glitz, but remain chic at the same time.

During my recent sales-hunting, I came across a really 'flowy' cardigan from, again, H&M. This is such a versatile piece that can be paired with any top during summer. It is made out of polyester but feels really light and comfortable. It will be the perfect piece to have for the days my monthly friend is present (Ladies!...you know what I mean).  I do not like showing my arms during those days.

Cardigan from H&M. Made out of 100% polyester and feels light and airy. This cardigan can be paired with any summer top from my basic wardrobe.

The bold effect from a necklace can easily be minimized by covering up half of it with a see-through cardigan. :)
