GARDENING IN STYLE

Gardening has always been on my wishlist of things to learn. This year I decided to plant the carrot seeds that I found at the dollar store. I planted the seeds in early-May and pulled the carrots today. I aspire to be a green thumb, and I am hoping to learn from this, my first vegetable garden experiment. To my surprise, it was really easy. I made sure I had fresh potting soil in my flower bed before I planted the seeds. Next, I planted the seeds and hoped that the wild  rabbits won't eat them! Unexpectedly, the rabbits went after the radishes, not the carrots. I wonder if Peter Rabbit would
have done the same in real life. :)

Today, I am wearing my Zara jacket (spring 2015) and a floral top from Forever 21 (old).
My cut down Hunter boots come in really handy when I am gardening. My local shoe-repair shop cut them down for me. I loved the Hunter logo but the boots were too long and funny looking on me. I am planning to purchase the shorter version soon.

Early morning analysis on whether my carrots can be pulled.

I didn't even have my coffee yet. Can you tell!?
I am wearing my Zara Jacket (spring 2015),
a Floral 21 top (old) and cut down Hunter boots.

Yep, they are ripe and ready to be pulled.

Here are the utensils I need in order to pull my carrots.

Peeking through!!

Dig, Dig, Dig

Pulling-out my carrots!

Here they are. :)

Here are some very dirty carrots.
I am wearing my Forever 21 top and my cut down Hunter boots.

I waited very patiently for 4.5 months.

Washing one carrot at a time so that they are nice and clean.

I am cutting off the stems.

Now I get to enjoy a delicious  and healthy carrot juice.

  3. I enjoy gardening. Tomatoes are great for the impatient, as you can actually see them grow.
